I second the marshmallows. They absolutely work, and nothing else (wzcept maybe ants) will eat them.

So far there have not been any repeat visits from the critter. My little chickens are doing well and I feel confident in the reinforced hoop.
I will be going to the store with marshmallows on the list today.
I do know I am not the only one trying to catch the critter. I have several neighbors that also have chickens and some have lost a few. From the alley I can see there are traps set in most of the chicken keepers yards.

Cannot relocate even if I wanted to. Rabies is in my county and I would not want to transport it or anything to an infected area or if it is infected then infect an uninfected area.
Being in the trap around here means no future.
