Well they are finally all gone.

Not my chickens silly! My store bought eggs! I used the last one today. No more washed out yellow yolks for this house. And quess what? The home grown egg that I used with the store bought egg? WAS A DOUBLE YOLKER!
In fact the day before yesterday one laid and egg that was so big I could tell who laid it cause she was walking funny.

I tell you if I can get the camera working you'll see it's gia-normous. Sorry just new chickenitis excitement.

You will not miss the store bought eggs, you are about to have a new normal.

We still get an oversized egg occasionally, last night I found one that was easily twice normal sized. A whole new meaning to a three egg omelete.

We stopped ordering eggs in a restaurant because they just look "yucky"!!!! Nothing beats breakfast straight from the coop!!

I don't like store bought eggs anymore either. We went out of town over the weekend and first thing I did when we got back is eat a couple of our eggs.

Of course the Welsummer and Marans taste better than out BO s eggs. . . . . . . . . .
