i posted 3 weeks ago over an egg from my 20 week old chicken that had been 'egg-knapped' by my broody hen, and i didnt think it would hatch with it being so small.
a few people said it would..and well you were right! the little chick popped out yesterday sometime..much smaller than its siblings but oh so cute!

so many thanks...little egg = little chick! wahey!

the darn broody must have nabbed an egg off everyone, all the chicks are different colours!

Hatching your own eggs is a fantastic feeling! I keep 3 incubators running and full 24/7. I hatched and raised chicks all winter last year but I will not do that again as 12 heat lamps going 24/7 cost way too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Oh how cute! I hatched 15 chicks today out of 15 eggs. I love watching the chicks after they hatch.
