Welp Hatchery

I got some chicks from welp. They are regular chickens, not show quality (i.e. one of the dominiques has a single comb, the Buff Orpingtons don't have uniform color etc, all typical hatchery stuff from my understanding) but definately lovable and serving their purpose. I was very pleased with Welp's service. They shipped out some "grow gel" and clear instructions on how to use it, what kind of bedding, warmth etc. I did ask them a few questions over the phone both before and after the chicks arrival and they were very, very helpful. The chicks arrived the day scheduled and all went well. I was pleased

I have ordered from Welp 3 times in the last 2 years. The first 2 times were wonderful but last spring I wound up with a lot of roos when all were supposed to be pullets. However, their stock is always very nice for yard birds. I have never had a problem with their customer service either.
There are other hatcheries I would never order from again but Welp has been good for me.

Love 'em. Great service and competitive prices. Always answers the phone on the first or second ring and the person answering the phone is always able to help or get you to the right person to answer questions. Also they seem to have stock when some of the other larger hatcheries have sold out.
