Welp hatchery ????

anyone have any experience with Welp Hatchery ? ... I am thinking about placing an order with them ...

I placed an order with Welp Hatchery in February and received my chicks Feb. 27. I ordered 25 chicks, all females, except for 1 buff cochin male. I wound up with 7 males out of the 25, which is pretty disappointing to me. The chicks were in good condition when I received them, but one little rir female has developed crooked beak. I feel that the sexing of the chicks should have been a little better, otherwise I am pleased with my chicks.

i rcvd my chicks in early march and they r doing great. i ordered cuckoo marans and cali whites. only one male in bunch and i think he was an xtra. cust service was good and chicks r doing very well. Good Luck!

I ordered from Welp earlier this year, my chicks are now 9 weeks old and doing great. My order was for 25 pullets from 5 different breeds. I was shipped 29 birds, all but 1 welsummer made it through shipping (unfortunately that was the breed that only had 4 shipped). Since all but 15 were rehomed, my pullet:roo ratio is not necessarily complete, but there are 2 confirmed roos from the order, and 2 suspects that are being watched closely. Interestingly, 3 of those possible 'roos' are from the SLW [ullet pick that was sent.

I ordered some Turkeys form Welp and will buy from them again. Very nice people to work with.

I ordered a total of 33 chicks 25 pullets and 4 roos. I will let you know how it pans out.

Thanks ........... I think I'll go ahead and put in an order ............. I sent an email asking what type of marans they had ............. I see p .. chook mentioned cuckoo maran ....... do they have any other maran ?
