are their barred rocks, rhode island reds and other egg laying breeds good layers?? What breeds have you had from welp, were they good, hardy, how many eggs do they lay per week?? Thanks!

Ive had a lot of welp breeds. and yes they are hardy I have never gotten shipped a bad batch of chickens compared to other hatcheries where I got a shipment and half the box was dead. and later they didn't lay well etc. I give welp 2 thumbs up! they are also good layers but almost all chickens are good layers depending on the breed you buy:)

Welp drop ships everything but the meat birds from Privett Hatchery. I saw no reason to go through a middleman and so order everything from Privett.

As part of an order, I ordered 4 California white pullets, and received I believe 2 pullets that looked like leghorns and 2 male leghorn types. I ordered the California White because the description said they were very quiet. The birds I received were very flighty which is why I assume they were leghorns. I believe they do drop ship from Privett. They have really great customer service - which means a lot to me when I order. I had to cancel an order and they had no problem at all - very nice.
