Mine tried to fly a little in the fall, but never got more than a few feet off the ground, but they did cover about 6' in distance.

i want it to get some but where i live in the woods and there are predator and i want the ducks to fly to safety

I heard nothing but good things about them. If I get a change it will be one of the types of ducks I will be adding.

Is the voice changing at all? Jasper (I thought she was a male at first) started peep-quacking at 3 weeks

Yeah it's kind of a honking noise which makes me think a girl, but the colouring makes me think a boy. My other duck the Ancona is still only peeping so I've got no idea

They all have the same coloring until several months old. I would say girl since she's honking . Males will peep for a long time and then get quieter. My last female to quack took 8 weeks so you've still got awhile

Yay I wanted my WH to be a girl. Which must mean my Ancona is a boy cause his voice hasn't changed at all. My WH's voice changed last week and they are both the same age, give or take a couple of days

You'll know in a couple more weeks for the ancona. Give it a little more time because it might start honking on ya too!
