Have you seen the raising ducklings sticky? I just would keep water and food with them 24/7 for the first 8 weeks, per Storey's Guide. At least, I believe that was Storey's Guide's recommendation.

I know this is a bit of a stretch but I'm getting a young pair of wh this weekend as a early Bdaypresent any clue how long it takes them to start laying roughly what age? And does anyone ever just ship eggs to people for free? I want to try hatching some but sigle dad of a 13 yo girl and not much cash for my hobies after she gets what she wants not begging just asking and thanks every one in advance

I am not sure if you mean WH eggs or just fertilized eggs, chicken or duck. I had a friend give us a barn yard mix of 24 chicken eggs that I am trying to hatch right now. She normally sells her eggs for food so I do not see why you can't find some one who sells fertile eggs and just ask them to handle it so you can use them for hatching. It could be as cheap as $3 for some. Maybe you can post where you are?

Wh eggs I can get chicken eggs from a friend for free I'm in North east Arkansas and whs are hard to find but don't want to be out a lot of money for eggs but its all good I think I've decided I will wait for my pair I'm getting to start laying and hatch those eggs just have to be patient

If I remember correctly, they have to be at least 24 weeks old to lay. But, the time of year also matters. You may have to wait for days to get a bit longer. A few of my girls have been laying for the last few weeks, but I think these are the ones I got as ducklings in the spring of 2012, not the ones I got last spring.

Just ordered 4 Welsh Harlequin ducklings! 3 female and 1 male to arrive at the end of March! I'm SOOOOO excited!!!
