Welsummer Bantams Photos update!

Okay, nice update for some more photos. They are now 7 mos old. I no longer have the roo because he crowed and don't want to make the neighbors upset.

Here are the two girls!

I hope to get some eggs out of them before Thanksgiving. However I am working on getting a roo for them!

Yes he would, from Oct to March-April! After that I would either put him on a friend's farm or sell him or give him away to a 4Her.

Robin, those are some nice looking ladies. As you know, I only have LF so I haven't paid any attention to the ABA SOPs. While they definitely have a little different look to them than a LF, I'm guessing they would do very well at a show. They just seem to look really good. The coloration is well defined. Their stance is good. I like their back and tail. Good leg color. Just very nice looking birds.

God Bless,

Thanks to your friend for making this possible for me, Tailfeathers! I wish I have more to compare but they dont look any different except being a little heavier than the ones in the UK. The girls are a little darker so it may be due to the German lines (which most birds are darker, Faverolles for example are much darker from the German lines than they do for the French lines). So a good roo would be needed to compliment the girls good points and weed out the bad points.

Well this roo has matured, hatched March, 2009. Handsome boy he is!

And one of the ladies:

Please excuse the mess....it has been raining for three days and it was nasty! Now the run has been frozen over and nice and limed down!

Beautiful beautiful birds! How many ladies do you have now? Would you ever use a bantam roo over LF wellsummer hens to eventually breed in the dark egg gene into bantam wellsummers. That's just a shot in the dark.
