One of my welsummer babies is limping and her knee is swollen. It’s been 3 days. I’ve separated her and have been giving her egg yolk and crumble made with some molasses to help but not improvement. I’m not sure what else to do. She is eating and drinking fine. Her leg obviously hurts and she lays around most of the time. Tried to google for help and having gotten anywhere with the advice I’ve gotten. Thank you!

She might have a sprain, but look for a slipped tendon, which is common in chicks and the hock may look more flat. A chick chair or sling can be used to get her up off the ground to suspend her in front of food and water, while the leg is healing.
