Definately put up a picture of your daughter's silkie. How old is he/she? My 4 1/2 month old silkie rooster is only just crowing but he has very definate wattles starting so his was an easy guess as to his gender.
My other silkies babies are just under 3 months old and are already showing signs of wattles as well.
