Hi How much would they be for the chicks? Can you tell which are pullets or not? We have plenty of roos and really would not be intrested in getting any more if we could help it.

Just above Binghamton that would make you about 4 hours away so I would have to make arragements for a "day" trip or weekend trip. Let me know the details and I will have to talk it over with hubby and get back to you.

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I did not realize there was a page two until now. The next batch of chicks will hatch on or about May 11. I tried sexing the welsumers last year and did not have much success. The males are slightly lighter colored and the 'V' on the forehead is less pronounced but as I said I had little success sexing them. It is all so subtle a distinction. I already have an order for 6 welsumers from the next batch of chicks and you never really know how many there will be until they hatch. I can email you next week with the results. Its going to be an exciting day for me. I also find out if I am going to be a grandma for the first time that day . So if you don't hear from me, email me Please.
Linda
