They are supposed to have yellow legs *but* I saw a post on here where someone had a largish flock of welsummers and two had dark legs.

They definitely look female to me. I have Welsummers and the girls have very strong eyeliner around their eyes and dark, very clear V-shapes on their heads. Boys have little, if any, "eyeliner" and the V on their heads can be more reddish-brown and less distinct. Cuties!

Denisea3465, do you recall what color were their legs when they were young?

Mine have all had light colored legs, including my rooster.

I would guess that yours may have been bred somewhere along the line with another breed so they aren't 100% pure Welsummer.

Welsummers are auto sexing breeds, If it has a black chest it is a boy if not it is a girl

no would still like to have a somewhat pure welsummer for laying
