welsummer or leghorn

Hi, 1st post here. Been looking for a while and have learned a lot. I am wondering if the chicks we bought are welsummers or leghorns. Im having trouble telling. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Red earlobe = Welsummer
White earlobe = leghorn
May have to wait a few more weeks to tell ear lobe color. Both are good layers, but leghorns are much better in general standings.

I'm not sure if that would be a brown leghorn or not. I'm confused in that the two birds have different colors of legs.

Yeah me too. The 2 diff legs have me confused as well. We got them along with a few others as welsummer pullets. Ill post the other chickies tomorrow.

welsummers have yellow legs and brown leghorns have a whitish color legs.

Not a Welsummer - they have yellow legs, as do some Brown Leghorns.
