Welsummer question

Hi,

I have a Welsummer about 5 weeks old now. I got her from Wilco Farm Store. She is feathering out very well, but the feathers on her head are pretty light colored. I expected them to come in a darker brown.

Is this just a phase of the colors or is she a silver duck wing? I was looking at pictures online and found the silver duck wing.

I'm new to the Welsummers, so forgive my ignorance. I'm sorry that the pictures are not the best.

It does not look like a welsummer. Could you get some pictures in natural lighting so the leg color and feather colors can be seen better.

You have an Egyptian Fayoumi. This is one of the few times I'm 100% positive. I've raised two myself, and would recognize them anywhere! Very distinct looking. Reddish, grizzled chicks that grow into silver birds - quite unique!

Definitely doesn't look like a Welsummer. Not just the head but the chest should be either salmon (female) or black (male).

Not a Welsummer. Its either a Fayoumi or a Silver Campine.

Ok. I tried to get some better pics. They are camera shy! I tried to get a good shot of her legs, they are a greenish color I would say. Also, as a side question, should my Cuckoo Maran (assuming the store got that one right) be darker than this to be a hen?

If you still would like better pictures, I can hold her later and have my hubby take the photos.
