Welsummer - Roo??

There is a good bit of variance in comb size with my Wellie girls as grown birds. It's the easiest way to tell them apart. FME, the larger-combed girl did NOT lay any earlier. I thought a big, reddened comb meant eggs would be forthcoming when these ladies were about that same age. Boy, was I mistaken! I hope you aren't in for as long a wait as I had but I wouldn't start holding my breath anytime soon (they aren't known for being early layers). Now, once they did get going, the eggs have been large and none of the weather or light changes in their first year has stopped them. Not to mention that that the eggs are GORGEOUS...
