Welsummer with walking problems

Welie has not been injured to the best of my knowledge. She started maturing and possibly mounted by the rooster. Other than that, I cannot understand why she started walking like this.
Please, if anyone can tell me what is going on and how to correct it, I would be soooooo grateful!!!

It's possible that she has a riboflavin deficiency, which can cause curled toe paralysis and walking or standing on the hocks or elbows. Other possibilities, but hopefully not, are Mareks disease. Injury might be a problem, but I would deficnitely try feeding her poultry vitamins containing riboflavin (vitamin B2) or B complex, or foods containing plenty of riboflavin. Normally if started soon symptoms can improve within days or weeks. Beef liver, lamb, plain yogurt, mushrooms, and crushed almonds are all rich in riboflavin. I will add yogurt to her rations and see.

I am POSITIVE its not mereks..... she was not seperated from the entire flock, and has been with others (who would not pick on her). No one else is effected. I've been doing physical therapy with her for almost a month now, hoping she would get better. She can straighten her toes and curl her toes as if nothing is wrong. She has strength in her grip and she will put her feet flat against my hand, but walks with her toes almost straight into the ground. So strange.

I am saddened by this. I was so excited when i picked her up as a day old chick.

Hopefully it is just a deficiency, but the longer it goes untreated, it can become permanent. Please update this thread to let us know how she is doing. Good luck. She is a pretty little pullet.

No improvement. I think she is just going to be like this. She stopped laying eggs, but its that time of year. I have her and my Delaware together and they seem to do just fine together.

Have you been giving her riboflavin rich foods or poultry vitamins? Sorry that she is no better, since the video does resemble riboflavin deficiency. Glad to hear that she is surviving with a buddy.
