What about the other chick? Is it a barred rock?
Your chick is barred. That's all that can be ascertained from this photo.

The "Welsummer" might actually be a mix because of how much patterning it has in the back but it is definitely a female.

Did you get them from a hatchery or a farm or ???

I bought eggs for my silkie to hatch out. They told me that they were 2 Barred Rock and 2 Rhode Island Red and 2 Americana. I already have a couple of Reds so I know what they look like.

The one on the left looks pretty much like my Wellie looked when she was a youngster. Love that girl, she's the sweetest bird I've ever had!

I see. The barred one might be a Rock and the "Welsummer" might be what they're calling an "Ameraucana". Based on her, though, I strongly suspect that they're barnyard mixes from a flock that includes barred Rocks and Easter Eggers. Lots of EEs have patterning similar to the wild type of a Welsummer and while I can't see it well enough to be sure, her comb looks like it might not be a single (EEs usually have pea combs). I think she may have an EE parent but you'll need to wait for eggs to know if she inherited the blue shell gene.
