I had my annual eye exam at Wal Mart Vision Center a couple days ago and I "smelled" that all of the "optical" assistants that were working were wearing LOUD perfume.
It seemed liked each one was wearing a different scent. So, as I held my breath and placed a tissue over my nose not to inhale all of the scents while completing my paperwork, I began to sneeze. I walked out of the store to get some fresh air and I went back in. I was then called back to take the "puff in the eye" test. The assistant that was giving the test was also wearing LOUD perfume. I rushed her up so that I could get out of there and get more fresh air.
The doctor finally called me back (thank goodness) so that I could take my eye exam. So at the end of the eye exam, needless to say, I was sneezing, sniffing, rubbing my eyes and had a sinus headache.
I guess they just don't get it. In my opinion, if you work in a customer service field and you will be working directly with the customers/patients, you would think twice about spraying a bottle of perfume on before leaving for work.
I am really thinking about writing a letter to the main Wal Mart Vision Center office and letting them know how I feel about employees who wear perfume when in close proximity of a customer. Now don't get me wrong, everyone there was VERY nice and I give them a 10 for customer service and how they treated me but if I had to return to that store, I would have to say no. And the reason is because I can't handle the loud scents. It made me sick.
Maybe it's just me. Just sayin..........
