This adorable 8 week (I think) RIR. I was telling our friend we needed to get an RIR after my aunt told me my grandfather raised them and I didn't know that when we had ordered chickens. She was having a problem with a hen that was eggbound, so we stopped at her farm on the way home to see. My boys helped catch one the her rooster her daughters want to show. And she had her girls pick out this beautiful girl. Her name is Dooley after my grandfather.

Beautiful and I have her twin! I'll be happy to see for sure what breed it is because Steven picked this one out and named it Moonshine thinking it was a roo when it was small but since he's been gone it has started laying....... lovely little brown eggs.

Thanks all! We think she is a cutie! Yesterday, DH and I went to check on her. DH opened the door and called her name. She came running over to him and jumped on his arm. Don't think she really knows her name already, but it was pretty darn cute!

She is very beautiful! I have a RIR pullet myself, around 6 1/2 weeks, and she is the roosters little groupie.
