I went to both my 'local' TSC (60 mins away) and the local feed store (20 mins).
TSC had the regular Dumar and Purina products, which I'm more familiar with. The chick/grower feed and the layer.
The feed store had Southern States feed. It comes as a medicated chick starter that you feed until 5 wks, a grower/finisher that you feed until laying, and then layer feed.
My questions are:
-Are the TSC products medicated?
-Should I avoid the feed store products simply because the starter is medicated?
-How many of you use medicated chick starter?
-Is there a huge difference between using seperate chick starter and then grower/finisher, or using the grower/starter?
-I didn't ask, so for anyone who might know, are the Southern States grower/finisher and layer feed medicated as well?
Thanks!!!!
