Went to the feed store

In the north we don't have that problem, even though with the right set up we could raise chicks year round. Folks here just don't have the place to raise them.

You can't even give EE's away here.

I'm sixty miles from Cameron Texas, home of Ideal Poultry. Every single stinkin' time I go to the feed store I must stand strong...and keets are sooooo cute! Dh knows that roughly 30 seconds after I find speckled Sussex chicks there, they are coming home with me. Luckily for him, Ideal, and therefore my feedstore, seem to be permanently sold out.

I could not, never ever live near a hatchery. I would be there weekly. They would know me on a first name basis. I would live to find a speckled sussex chick. Going to have to order some next spring.​

I too love EE's and had a heck of a time finding any.When one of the local feedstores got a batch,from Ideal,I grabbed six.I ended up with a spraddle leg,a crossbeak and two suspected roo's.So,please,send them our way

EEs are the first to sell out here, usually within a couple hours. This year I talked the feedstore into letting me meet the delivery truck. Got me a couple.
