Went to the salebarn today and came home with 10 muscovy ducks! (PICS)

I guess when your looking for rarer colors you pay more..
I paid 7 each for my solid whites almost 7years ago.. and had to drive quite a distance to get them too.

hmmm very pretty! I'm wanting to get some. I had 3 muscovy drakes a few years ago but no hens. I think I paid $3 a piece for them at a local flea market. I'm gonna go back so I can get some more.

Here are my babies

Very Pretty! Love the dark ones with green on their backs! I wish we had a pond closer to the house for our ducks (they were an impulse buy) I have the one kiddie pool and when WalMart gets the kiddie pools again I will get them another one. *Might* talk DH into building a small duck pond...he is busy building rabbit cages and chick brooders now so I think I will wait on asking about the duck pond.

they are so sweet, my muscovie girls just started to lay for this year, 2 out of 6 girls. gonna have some ducklings!!!

Muscovy's are the best! We have pekins, rouens, anaconas and use to have calls, but our muscovy's are the favorites, all the drakes we have ever had we easily taught to catch bread, or corn in the air if you throw it to them. We paid $4 each for our originals (very cool colors too) then last year we bought a drake and two hens the drake was $6 and the hens where $3, just blues, and blacks though, why are the drakes more? usually seems like boys are cheaper then girls in fowl.

my one muscovy hen and now her tag along partner, come peck at the door when they want treats, open the door they walk in, never leave a mess, get their bread, (They prefer cheap white over good wheat) talk a bit then leave till later. Theyn particulary love my husband, as do all the pets.

I love the brown (chocolate) what a sweet face.

I have 1 male with angel wing, and we bought a baby when we lost one, and he truned out to be the biggest solid white scovie I have ever seen, a bit big for my girls, but pretty.
