Why are the drakes more? I thinks it's because they are so much larger so you get more meat from them. In our local auctions drakes go for $20-40, ducks for around $8-10. Many attendees at our localauctions are Asian or Russian and they want bigger birds for the table.

Sometimes a rare coloured Drake is more because he can father many more babies than a female can. I have an order this week for 3 birds, the drake is 25 and the ducks are fifteen each (and the customer hasn't even seen them; I choose the ones he will get).

Thats a good deal for ducks of that size id pay $10 easy and as much as $15 for a really large drake

thats the way our muscovies are if the door is open in they come, looking for a hand out, lol the drakes are real friendly too.. and mine also catch bread in the air.. I think they like to do it, it's fun for them.. I also hang lettuce heads out for them and they play tether ball with it...
