Sorry, I can't give any advice on the twisted neck.

However, I was wondering what the brewers yeast is for? I give it to my dogs and cats for fleas, but so far have not heard of using it on other animals.....thanks!

Those ducks are just so adorable...it's so hard for me not to buy some and bring them home....

The brewer's yeast gives the ducklings the niacin they won't get in chick starter which is what the feed store was giving them. I was hoping it would help strengthen my little ducklings neck muscles, but I'm realizing it is a skeletal problem

The little one is still acting fine, eating, drinking, running around, swimming with the other 2 no problem. DH named him/her Pisa. I think the name will stick.

Pisa is just adorable...I have always had a soft spot for the ones that arent quite right. Good on you for giving Pisa a home.

Oh and the other two are cute too of course.

Well update on Pisa at 2 weeks. Aside from the obvious growth in size and the much increased mess in the brooder (we have add 6 chicks that are a week younger with them), I believe Pisa's neck is improving. There are times I'm not even sure which one she is! But if I look down into the brooder too long she will turn her head to the side to look up at me and I know it's her. She also will still do the running in circle thing. I will get updated pics soon!

I wanted to add that it was pointed out to me that this duckling could have a thiamine deficiency. I was going with the thought it was a niacin deficiency, but either way it should be getting covered with the poly-vi-sol and the brewer's yeast.
