Went to tsc today

Went to tsc today and asking for feed for my 4month old chickens the man said I could use a bag of scratch grains as well it says it on the back of the bag I can any thought?
Four month olds can definitely handle scratch. In fact, they'll probably LOVE it! Be careful feeding it, though. They'll go after that instead of their regular feed. Scratch is generally used as a supplement and/or boredom buster, not a full feed.

Yes, it's a supplement (10% or less of the feed they get), not chicken feed with balanced nutrition. If TSC was out of chick feed, you can use All-Flock, or Flock Raiser.

The regular feed has appropriate proportions of protein, fat, fiber, and includes many specific vitamins and minerals, to create the nutrition they need.

that’s not really what it was designed for. They will miss nutrients. If you have a local small farm store they often have their own mash or pellets. Mine is $9 for a 50lb bag of all flock :) mine free range for their calcium - they hate oyster shell. Plus there’s a bit of it in the all flock.
