hello everyone thanks for having us. we decided to get some chicks this year, 15 buff orpinigtons. my grandson and the neighbor girl are both excited about it. we're trying the organic route. two weeks in and so far so good. i have a question, i'll post it here, if i should post it somewhere else please let me know.
we have the organic starter food, countryside i think. any way the chicks are not eating the larger grains, i think it's wheat.what can i do about that? they are not getting grit as of yet. would that help? we are new to this so any suggestions are appreciated.
thanks again, gages gramps

Glad you joined us! If they are eating grains, some grit would be a good idea, yes. If you can't get chick size grit you can use clean coarse sand instead.
