Hey everyone!! Some really exciting news: We are getting a Jersey cow tomorrow!! The whole process has been quite frustrating - cow... or goat?? And back and forth like that for 2 months. FINALLY... We have decided to buy this cow!! Her name is Daisy... ain't she perty??!!

She comes with a bull calf - likely to be dinner sometime. [IMG] But it's so AWESOME!!!!

Yes she is. Enjoy your milk and butter. I just joined a cow share after having to get rid of my goats, you'll LOVE the flavorful, real milk you get.

She's the same color as this gorgeous fawn dobie a fellow parent at school has.

He's just gorgeous... and so's your new lady.

She's home now!! She's very gentle, and already made herself at home. [IMG] It's so exciting to have a cow!! We'll milk her tomorrow. Oooohh.. it's so cool!!! [IMG]

babyblue, she's not bred yet. the guy we bought her from said she should be bred late June or in July. We're hoping to find an A2 bull (Dexter or possibly British White) to buy the semen from to do AI. We'll see how it goes. [IMG]

How old is she? How many calves has she carried? How much was she?
