My 7 girls (only 6 are laying cause one is a mama of 5 - 5 week old chicks) have 3 nesting boxes to choose from.....still they all lay on the floor behind the metal feed can in the corner. So I just fixed a little nest for them there.

My birds have favorite nest boxes. They like to share a lot.

I have a golf ball in each nest box.

My dad's workbench in the garage, behind the bushes, in the coop in random spots, in the weeds, randomly laid on our 5 acres in the grass, under the wood pile and they find new places all the time.
