We're on our way...

After 4 weeks of working on our coop, we are finished! Yeah!!!! Gosh I'm so relieved and happy! Now we are on our way to pick up our girls!!!

Tonight will be an anxious night to see if we did indeed create a predator proof coop, as we know we have oppossums in our yard at night. I'm hoping we won't have to relocate them, but that is always a possibility.

I will post pictures of both the coop and the girls soon.

well we were a day late and one chicken short, but we made it! The gal we got the chickens from didn't have the ones we wanted, so we had to improvise, and left with only 3, but I'm still sooooo happy!

Last night was the first night, and they are still alive!

Although a bit in shock from their new surroundings and the kids wanting to play with them every possible second, they are doing well. They finally found their food!


I need to upload my camera and take pics of the girls and the coop, but I will do that after breakfast!

I have my first Buff Brahma pullet so it was great to see pictures of yours - reminding me what mine will look like in a short time.
