So far, 4 or 5 of my 23 Coturnix eggs have pipped tonight (they're due tomorrow)! I love, love, love hatching Coturnix! Compared to chicken eggs, they're a BREEZE!!

It's a great day to hatch quail

( but then again isn't everyday ? )

When I went back in at 12:30 AM and checked, I had one chick already out. By the time I went to bed at 2:00 AM, I had another out and one more almost completely zipped. Just checked again and now have 10 out and more pipping and zipping! I also have one of five Dominique eggs (in a different 'bator and due tomorrow) pipped! Seems to be a whole lotta' hatchin' goin' on!

That's one of the neat things about Quail....
It seems they all pop around the same time.
I think the first one out calls the others to join it... lol

What is the longest time frame you've seen them hatch in? For example, my first hatched at 12:15 AM or so this morning, and I still have a few more eggs rocking. I did find one chick dead in the egg after pipping

Should I be worried about the rest, or might they just be slower than the others?
