We're think'n Phoenix...What do you think????

4 weeks old, we have only our list from MMcMurry Hatchery to go by, and all your BYC expert advice and pictures to guess what our 26 chicks are. Green Legs with brown feathers on the body, back of the neck is coming in golden. Any ideas?

A Golden Campine is on our list from MMcMurry hatchery.

I don't know anything about Phoenix chickens, but they don't look like my Golden Campines did at that age.

But it could be the screen settings on this computer showing different colors.

Are Phoenix chickens also on your list?

well I have pheonix and golden campines from murry... and mine dont look like those at all.

Pheonix is in the middle, standing up & facing left. Golden campine is in the back facing right with the light head and yellow with orange crown (pictured about a week younger than yours I think)


Pheonix now: (female first)-- they were born Feb 12th



male pheonix -- still pathetic in development compaired to the girls.. but hes starting to get his luster at least



And golden campine... Shes in the middle between my silver laced polish and my GIANT ee (yes .. same age!)

Neither Campines or Phoenix have green legs.

the coloring is off on my screen too. the backround is a light tan towel and it looks grey...I'm still thinking pheonix, maybe the greenish gray legs will turn more slate with age?

You have the birds. You don't need to rely on screen color interpretation. You said they have green legs. if they do they're not Phoenix.
