Do you know who laid it? Age?

Shell quality can be all over the place in older layers... Are brittle or textured eggs common in your eggs?

I agree that it looks like an oddly presenting calcium deposit.

Would not suspect any issues from this as a one off or in an older layer.

Yes my green egger. Shes 1 and turning 2 in March. Shes molting right now so I suspect that's the reason. And shes always laid weird eggs. some light color, mega eggs, oddly shaped ones and ones with bumps.
 
I'd say the membrane was not formed correctly/completely,
so it had a bit of a 'tail', then is was shelled.
If you carefully open it, you might be able to tell the shape of the membrane.

haven't opened it yet but I say it's thin from the rest she usually lays thick feeling ones this one is thin and fragile.
