West Melbourne FL ordinances??

Anyone know if chickens in West Melbourne FL are allowed? I've tried reading through the ordinances but may need a law degree to understand...just moved to the area and want to expand my garden capabilities with some chickens

I lived in West Melbourne a long time ago on Monaco, behind Barnes and Nobles.

I didn’t have chicken then. Call the city, but they were pretty picky back 20 years ago. If you have a privacy fence and no roosters you should be okay.

My neighbors were a pain. At least one was. I know my cat was annoying her and that was my fault (she would tear my screens to get out), but they would literally just watch me and everyone else all the time.

I was having a yard sale one time and they took my signs ( the city workers).

I think it depends on where in West Melbourne you reside. I haven’t been there in a long time, but there were more rural areas that were more agricultural, I’m not sure if they exist anymore.

Thanks. Called the city and they said max 2 and no roosters. 2 should be enough for weekend omelets! thanks
