Westford MA June 7 NAS tailgate poultry sale- anyone going?

I'd be willing to take a go at it. I have two ringneck eggs that are being "fostered by my rollers, and I know I'll have to hand feed them aswell. How much are you asking for? And would we be able to meet up in westford?

If You want to go through the trouble of hand feeding I will give them to you. I am sure they will have a wonderful home.
I will be at the westford swap and will bring them and a mix of what I make up for them for feedings.

I use 1 pt game feed( non med)
1/2 pt blended bird seed ( I use a coffee grinder to grind everything to a fine powder)
1 pt water untill they get old enough to handle the thicker soup.
I also add later in feedings a few piece of kitten kibble for added protein. ground fine.

I have brought up a lot of pidgies on this mix and a few doves also.
I will get a picture of them, just keep in mind they are pretty beat up.( little bloody in spots.)

What makes me mad is you can see it barely happened, the blood is fresh and no scabs as yet.

gypsy,
That's a pretty cool and easy recipe to follow, to be honest with you, i would have never thought of that.

Yeah, we had two bachelor white ringnecks who for the most part got along well. Well after a 30 min grocery trip, we came home to find the submissive male pink with many open wounds, and the cage looked like a horror scene. Birds are funny like that. The previous owners kept them together for years without a glitch, i think it was the call of nearby females that sparked this fight. Needless to say, they are now in seperate cages

How will we be able to find you there?

Ugh I have had that happen once too often,
what really gets me angry is when the hens decide they are not up to breeding and the cocks get miserable to them, more than once I have come home to a bloody mess, and missing eyes. makes me crazy.

I may be bringing some Silky Ring Necks and some straight feather ring necks also.

its really a nice swap in a beautiful spot, The Sportsmans club is just stunning. we have a huge field to set up in.

rememeber you have to be a member of the Aviculture Society to sell but you can buy.
I wish I could find my link to the Aviculture web site, Maybe Chickn oe Tony has it available.
