Huh, sounds like lots of Mainers, we for the most part tend to be set in our ways, I'm guilty sometimes

Oh Geesh, Pigeons. Sarah will love it, Maybe I'll grab my niece and bring her too, she's the one with the Satinettes. Sarah has a single one, she got it in with a large group of Chinese owls, not sure the sex, tho.

So if we join that day, can she sell some of her birds too? Sounds like she may need money to buy more pigeons

yes she can sell the day she joins

That will be great. We are going through them today and she still has a few more that could go. Taking pictures today. Actually a Sunday we didn't have an event or someplace to go, seems odd...

Did You and Sarah know that Satinettes are from Owls breed ? most likely why it was in with them.

That's very interesting. Haven't done much research on that breed at all. We weren't even going to keep the Owls, she got them at the Pigeon Show in Sanford and brought them home and Daddy fell in love with them.

So which is the "true name" Satinette or Classic Frills? I'm guessing Frill, is that what they are listed under in the NPA Standard? Sarah is working with a couple of new/hard breeds now so she has plenty to keep her busy for sure

She really likes the Pigeons. She would like to find a few more good Warsaw Butterfly.

I still plan on stopping by for a while. I won't be bringing any birds, just coming to say hi. I'll probably have to leave before 11. Jonathan has yet another party to go to.

Are you going Dave? I got my Seed Savers catalog today. Starting to plan for next year already!

I got the newsletter in the mail while we were in Maine. It shows the next sale/meeting on Dec 6. Looks like the guest will talk pheasants.

I think both are the correct name, I have seen them listed as both, though according to the standards they are listed as Satinettes , I will dig deeper and see which it is listed as for showing.
There are so few Warsaw Butterfly Breeders in the area it might be hard to find them, but the Pigeon Show might be the best place to pick them up. I know before finding My Satinettes I couldnt find a breeder in the area to save myself, seems I always choose the hardest ones to find and then the hunt is on.
Breeders from all across the states are showing up for the Sturbridge show coming up and might be the best chance of getting a few more.
course pre arranging with the breeders before hand is always a good option.
I do this when I need New breeding stock with my rabbits. National Shows and Conventions pre arrange so it available.

Might be worth a call to the person in charge of the Frill'd club and ask about the classification.
Where they are concidered a Frill's bird I am sure this person would know the answer.

Yes, already been in contact with several breeders that are attenting the Sturbridge Show. Sarah is also going to finally get to meet the guy she got her first Pigeons from and started it all, plus she's getting a few more from him.. We will be there Friday, staying at the hotel and she will have plenty of time to chat with everyone
