Hiya Wendy its Rita, Gypsy's daughter she just called in a panic from Westford worried that something happened. I passed on what you posted and she said No Problem she will meet up with you in January and hopes you get better soon. She also ROFLMSO at the hiding under the chair icon lol.

We got 5 inches of snow here (near Keene, NH), but it ended overnight. Beautiful sun this morning. My chickens are SO NOT IMPRESSED with the snow! LOL They will NOT walk in it, so they are staying inside the coop today. I shoveled the run, but there is still a thin layer of snow. I put up Chrsitmas lights on the eave of my coop, but i need a short extension cord to reach the outlet. Hope to post pics later.

Yesterday during the storm, a car careened off the road into my front yard. Took out the mail box post and all, paper box, AND my prized ornamental Brandywine Flowering Crabapple tree that has double pink flowers every spring.

I'm upset about losing the tree, it is broken so bad, torn right off it's roots. But the driver says his insurance does cover property damage. And thankfully, not people were hurt. The car is still stuck in the yard, will need a tow truck to pull it out. He's hung up on stumps, rocks, etc that were part of my landscaping. There will be work to do in the spring to fix everything back up.

Meanwhile, my prized tree is dead, and i will have to drive to the PO weekdays to get my mail, cuz they won't deliver without a proper mail box out by the road. ugh! Just crazy!

Oh my goodness... We were waiting to see if anyone landed in the crater the state left at the base of our yard yesterday too, course if someone did ppl going by would not see them if it was a small car cause its that deep... I live in Jaffrey so I know all to well about to much snow for this time of the year lol..

Glad no ppl were hurt but sad for the tree.

We were so disappointed we couldn't make it, my car is still under the snow and the hubby is still putting the tires on, guess he figured he could take his time now where we didn't have anywhere to go

Thank you, Shannon and Cindy for the chicken taxi. Sarah was worried she wasn't going to get her newbies. Also Thanks Lisa for holding them for her, you guys are sooooo great!!!!!!

Wendy hope you feel better. I had a little sore throat last night and just really tired, so maybe it was good we got snowed in
