we went away for the weekend. My "friend" who was "supposed" to come feed the chickens while we were gone started making excuses not to come so I just told her to forget about it. Feeding wasn't the issue but we need to work on our watering options
I didn't have anything handy at the time so i filled up a 5 gallon bucket and left it at that. we came home early just in case and found a chicken stuck in the bucket
Ive got her under the lamp for now. will she be ok?
can I keep her or should I kill her.
If i kill her now can I eat the meat.
If i need to kill it How will i know (what would be the signs)
Thanks

Use a blow dryer to help her dry off faster, keep her warm, and see how she does. There is no reason to kill her just because she got wet. Chickens are stronger than you think, giver her a chance to survive first.

and then get yourself a five gallon bucket NIPPLE waterer with a LID

they work great, you can find the plans on the feeding and watering thread.

not sure what a duty fee is but yu can get them on line from tek supply they are around 2.00 each, three seem to fet the bottom of a five gallon buket just right and will serve up to 60 birds. do a search on the feeding and watering thread lotsof pics and advice on there regarding them.
