wet chicks

I recently hatched 4 eggs and the chicks were really wet and stayed that way for about a day - They are silkies and did not start to "fluff" out until the next day. Just wondering if the humidity might be too high in my incubator?

Humidity should be high when they start to hatch. My chicks don't fluff out either that first day. It takes a while for them to dry out in the incubator.

I thought the same thing when I hatched my first eggs. I went online and found that it is normal.
