i am so mad at my grandchildren right now!! Oh course it is me I should be mad at for turning my back fir even a minute. They poured a bucket of water in the garbage can we keep the feed in. I hate to throw it out worst case I will put in the compost.

Any suggestions? Oh the 6 year old says a ghost did it.

Like you said, compost pile. It will mold even if you laid it out to dry. Sorry. Be thankful for those little ones...dont stay mad long. I dont have any children, nor a mother, so be thankful and put in your compost pile with a smile.

Perhaps it was a boogie ghost that did it.

Honestly I think all you can do is compost it.

I'd suggest mixing it with some straw or dead leaves or shavings, or something like that, and/or composting in a very THIN layer, so it doesn't get too horribly stenchy and maggotty, as I can assure you that a pile of wet chickenfeed will (don't ask

)

Maybe the 'ghost' should have to take it out and spread it on the pile

Good luck,

I know in the bird department at the zoo here wet dog food is mixed in with several of the diets. Freezing it in small portions might be a good idea --- or dump it in my backyard! LOL

birds will eat it...so will coons ...possums...etc..hopefully your compost pile is far away from the coop...good luck!

bad ole boogie man!!

Sorry , that sux, dog food is expensive. Not sure how you can save it...

i know we buy a months worth at a time for 3 large dogs and it has not been long since we bought it. Right now I am so worried about money and there is 20+ dollars of food down the drain.

I feel ya -- I've got monster dogs, too. I go to the store and buy huge amounts of pet food then run over to get ramen noodles for myself!!
