hi i've seen that wet cat food isn't too good to give to chickens, is this the same with wet dog food then?
Thanks

I've raised one Bluejay, and I'm currently raising a Common Grackle, on wet dog food.

I'm sure that helps none, but I wanted to put it out there.

What reasons were given for avoiding cat food?
They may apply to dog food too, or they may not.

Cat or dog food should be fine in small amounts, but it is not properly balanced to be a complete food for a chicken. It probably should not be a large part of a chicken's food intake each day.

Hi, i saw it on some thread on here but i can't remember where.
It wouldn't be the chickens base food- i just use it as a treat.
thanks :)

Different people definitely have different opinions on things like that.

My personal opinion is that it would be fine as a treat.
