Hi Everyone,
I have 4 peeking ducks, and one of them is a little wobbly on her legs. She always seems to kind of roll back on her feet and then just sit down. It is because of this, she can't seem to oil herself or properly dry/clean her feather. When she goes in the pool with the rest of the ducks, she has no problems hoping in or out but i have to keep a close eye on her because she gets soaked and starts to sink. I have cleaned her oil gland and it wasn't clogged or anything, but i think because she is so unstable on her feet she can't seem to get to her oil glad and do what she needs to.
She doesn't seem to have any other problems getting around or getting to her food or water but i always feel so bad for her because she always gets so dirty and can not stay in the pool very long with the other ducks.
I am at a loss of what do to. Is there anyway i can oil her for her? a special spray of some kind to help keep her oiled and clean? I appreciate any thoughts or advice!
Thank you

This should help https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/294673/wet-feather-how-can-i-fix-it.

Is the water clear of any possible oil contaminants like oil or gasoline. I don't know if your pond is private or not so I figured I toss that in. A muddy environment can cause wet feather too.

I use a kiddie pool for my ducks and I try my best to keep it as clean as possible. When I see it's getting dirty or starting to turn green I empty it and refil it will fresh water

I got my peking in the spring as baby ducklings so they are less than a year old. I am feeling them the crumbles
Just in case this is nutritional why not get some Brewers yeast or nutritional yeast [not baking yeast] and start adding some to their feed. 1Tab to 1 cup of food and use it daily. usually if it's a niacin dif you begin to notice improvement in less than a week.
Niacin diff can cause lameness and wobbliness and neuroligical issue also. Most of the time it shows up as a duckling but nutritional dif can show up at any age.

I'll try that, thanks! She seemed fine as a baby duckling, I didn't start to notice her wobbly-ness until she got older and bigger. It's almost like she hasn't grown into her adult legs.
