Wet chickens are pitiful, but wet polish are especially pathetic. Show off your soggy birds!

Aha don't they remind you of wet cats Lola. Mine actually don't care when it rains I was worried during the summer when I got them cause I would think they would go for shelter in their house. But they like it or something so to me its not common lol

Nice! Most of my chickens like water, but not my one of my Roos...I was bathing him for a show in my bathroom, with soapy water in the sink, and rinse water in the full bathtub (I washed my dogs afterwards so I just filled it up all the way) and I went to dip him in the rinse, and he struggled and jumped from my hands and PLOP! To the bottom of the bathtub. I fished him out, and spent the next 10 minutes drying him and making sure he wasn’t water logged. He’s ok and well today, but I can’t water him with out him freaking out. He’ll run the back f the pen ONLY when I have a jar of water to fill his water. I have to take him inside when it rains too! Otherwise he freaks out and tries to break out of his pen...I think I traumatized my chicken.. xD

I've had chickens that hated getting wet and chickens that didn't care if they got wet. Wish I had some pictures to share because they are pretty sorry looking when they're soggy!

I wish I new this one was coming. Yesterday, with everything thawing, my husband let the girls out to free range. My buff brahma ended up coated in mud from her breast to her fluffy butt. And I think it was from scratching, but I'm not sure.

My girls have plenty of places to get out of the rain (both 8 x 4 coops are 3 ft off the ground, and the attached 4 x 16 run is also partially roofed), but let's face it, polish are pretty stupid. "Whaaaat?? Raining??? You don't say." They could also just go back IN the coops...buuuuut...I guess they prefer a shower.
