Wet verses Dry Feed

My chickens love wet feed.. is it alright to make the feed wet.. When they were younger I would make it moist but they are 2 years old now .. but anytime the feed gets wet they go nuts over it..

Sure! I often make them a mash and they do love it. I especially like to do it in winter when I can make them a warm mash on a cold day. I don't know if it helps them feel warmer but it sure does make me feel better

Lots of people feed a damp or moist mash. I like the fact that they get some moisture intake with the feed, especially in the winter.

Other folks soak their fed for a few days in a vinegar or fermenting liquid. They feed this feed wet as well. I think the birds bore of plain old dry feed, day after day.

You should try a search on fermented feed. I hear they love it AND it is better for them.
