Wether vs. doe

I've heard that if I want a goat as a pet I should get a wether. But I've also been considering does... Is one better than the other?

Whethers you have to worry about stone, which can be prevented on a good diet, low to no grain, and good grass hay and pasture. Whethers I find are friendlier and more in your face. Does are a bit more stand offish, but can be just as friendly. That has been my experiences. I find the whether will just come right up, where the does are a bit wary initially. Does do come into season and can be loud during it. It could go on for a few months every three weeks especially if they aren't bred.

For me they are around the same, temperament wise. Also keep into mind does go into heat and wethers don't....and wethers are usually much cheaper.
