Wha is killing my chickens

Mink did that to some of my chickens. Raccoon attack, it dragged the hen away through an opening it made in the corner of my run and I was able to follow the trail of feathers and blood to the creek where it feasted.

I am wanting to ask what animal would kill a chicken by beheading it and ripping the throat and chest .

I've had this happen a couple times. From what I could tell, it was either a raccoon or a weasel. So sorry for your loss, it's always so devastating to lose one, not to mention losing multiple at a time

Yes killed my chickens last year we had to give all of them away got two more this year right away on killed one and the one went back where he came from .

We had a mink attack take out half my mom's flock several years ago. We still don't know how it got in once it got it's fill and we trapped it, our friend came by and dispatched of it. We haven't had one since but the areas mentioned in the thread were the same that were gone. It attacked at night.

i had a mink come after my chickens, nearest water is over a mile away.
my guess would be coon or weasel family member.
