What’s old is new again.

I am getting back into chickens on a much smaller scale than I have been before. I used to manage a farm and we did have chickens but mostly as a little hobby for the farm owner and their children. We had probably 40 birds or so but all exotic breeds. I built a pen for them attached to a “coop” which was just an old building that we separated out for the chickens to be safe, have enough room and to be able to be left alone for a few days at a time. That coop and pen still stand to this day, over 20 years later, with no loss due to predators. I’m hoping my new 6 chicken flock will be as lucky. I only raise them for eggs and entertainment, not to eat them.
