What’s the difference between a barred rock and a Plymouth barred rock

I’m just curious because to me they’re the same looking bird

Same bird. Barred Rock, Barred Plymouth Rock, same name just shortened. Only other chicken I know that looks the same is the Dominique

They are the same breed. The breed is Plymouth Rock. Barred is a colour, they come in quite a few colours but barred is one of the most common.

Yeah in the reviews of the chickens both names are there and I’m like I know there’s something going on, and I thought they always were the same

I know the difference, single comb and rose come is the first difference I think of.
