No, I'm certain it's a cockerel.

I’ve got 2 of those black chickens but only one acts like a rooster and the other acts like a hen. But, my White Leghorn rooster doesn’t seem to bother the one I’m showing you.

Girls just don't get faces like that....that is a boy without doubt. Even without knowing the age.

Thank you. I just needed to know. Cause, my white leghorn rooster doesn’t seem to bother it at all. Then, when I seen it down one of the hens, I was like that’s a rooster and I just wanted to post and see what everyone else thought.

I’m not sure yet. He’s really sweet. Sometimes he will peck you but not for meanness but we might end up giving him away.

I thought this was a hen until the other day my White Leghorn Rooster downed one of the hens and so did it so now I don’t know what it is. It acts just like a rooster but I thought it was a hen. Can anyone tell me what they think?

His dad was a black australorp/rhode island red. And I’ve seen pictures of the black austalorp roosters and they don’t have combs like that, people say he’s got a rose comb.
