  • Why is my rooster not going onto the roost at night? He’s going into the nesting boxes instead. I have to go outside and get him out of the box and put him on the roost every night. Can someone tell me why he is starting to do this? He’s never done this before but now he’s been doing it for a week now.
Why does my White Leghorn Rooster not bother my Black Australorp Rooster?
Their in the same coop, they both crow, call the hens and mate with them. But, they don’t bother each other.
But, when I had another rooster in the coop (before I knew it was a rooster) my leghorn rooster would eat it up but doesn’t touch this one?
Can anyone tell me why they don’t fight? I thought rooster were supposed to fight?

The only reason I’m trying to find out why is because my White
Leghorn Rooster jumped the other white one I had in the coop with him. (Thought it was a hen) but it ended up being a rooster. But he’s not bothering the other rooster I have in the coop with him. I plan on removing him once I get my other chicken coop built.

Sometimes you just can't figure out what they are thinking. :D And birds can develop friendships as well as enemies, maybe he didn't like that particular bird. :D
